Meet the Crew

Louie's Steakhouse & Lounge

There is a sign that hangs in Louie's Steakhouse & Lounge.  It reads:  Made my favorite thing for dinner.  A reservation.

It is comforting to have a place that you are familiar with. A place you can call for that night when you just want a little pampering.  A place where you can take the family for that special occasion.  We want Louie's Steakhouse & Lounge to be that place.

You may already be familiar with us or you may be someone who has never walked through the doors (hard to believe, right!) but we want you to get to know us.

Introducing Rob Little, Food & Beverage Manager for The Adventure Hotel.  Rob is a man who wears many different hats.  A graduate from Simon Fraser University, Rob took his skills and joined the team at the Vernon Golf and Country Club as a PGA of Canada Assistant Professional.  Moving on up is what Rob did when he moved on to Silver Star Club Resort to become their Assistant General Manager.  The sports industry wasn't Rob's only interest, the Food and Beverage side of things took hold of Rob when joined the Atlific Hotel and later the BPI Restaurant Group and served as Food and Beverage Manager.

In 2009, Rob moved to the Nelson area and started with Granite Pointe Golf Course as their PGA of Canada Teaching Professional.  The same year, Rob joined us to become the Food & Beverage manager of Louie's Steakhouse & Lounge.

Rob has worked side by side with Louie's staff, both in the service and the kitchen.  It is not out of character for Rob to throw on a set of "whites" and help on the line when needed.

So, make sure to come in, say hi, relax and get to know us.  A little hint, to start up the conversation with Rob, bring up golf!

Join our facebook page and give us a review!  We would appreciate it!  Just scan the QR code and it will take you right to the page!

In the near future, we will be featuring videos, starring our amazing chefs!  Watch them as they show you how to create some of their signature dishes!!

People watching in Nelson

People get excited about the little things...

It is fun to be working at the Front Desk of The Adventure Hotel with all the changes that have happened.  It is so entertaining to see the reaction from the guests as they step through the new automatic doors and into the newly renovated lobby.

The response to the change has been overwhelming.  I even had one guest ask if they were in the right hotel!

The lobby is located in the oldest section of the hotel.  Originally built in 1913, the old red brick has become a focal point in the renovation, not only in the lobby, but in the rooms as well.

The lobby is now bright and colourful:  new artwork displayed, Edison light bulbs glowing above the concrete countertop (there are even bike gears embedded in the countertop), shiny metal wall coverings, a large visual display showing not only the rooms we offer, but photos of Nelson.

Whether you are a visitor to Nelson or a local, please come by and say hi and see the changes that have taken place so far.  We know you will be as thrilled with it as we are!
